Let’s head to Be quiet! who are completing their entry-level heatsink range with a new line of Pure Rock 3 Pro cooling units. With this line, the brand aims to compete with products such as Thermalright’s Peerless Assassin, which offers compact dual-tower fans at aggressive prices!

Pure Rock 3 Pro, an entry-level dual-tower venti!

With its famous Pure Rock 3 Pro heatsinks, be quiet! is tackling the dual-tower format, but in the entry-level sector. It has to be said that the brand already offers its Dark Rock Pro, but these are imposing 135 or even 140 mm fans. The idea here is to offer more compact, more affordable models.

The programme includes three finishes: a classic aluminium-coloured model, a second ‘black’ model and a final LX version equipped with aRGB fans.

In terms of dimensions, the heatsink measures 124 (W) x 139 (D) x 155 (H) mm including fans. As mentioned above, this is a far cry from the dimensions of the Dark Rock Pro 5! What’s more, these models benefit from an off-centre base to maximise compatibility with RAM, while there are a total of six copper heat pipes.

As for ventilation, be quiet! has opted for two 120mm Pure Wings 3 fans. At full speed, the fan speed reaches 2000 rpm, with an airflow of 59.6 CFM and a static pressure of 2.41 mmH2O. The LX version will benefit from Light Wings LX fans also operating at up to 2000 rpm. However, airflow and pressure are up slightly, with values reaching 61.8 CFM and 2.51 mmH2O.

The final price tag is €49.90 for the basic version with aluminium-coloured fins. Add a black electrophoresis treatment and the bill rises to €54.90, while the black LX version with Light Wings 120 fans comes in at €59.90!
